Here's some pictures from this past Monday - Wednesday.
Monday, we went to the Santa Fe mall. They had a fun kids' amusement park called Divercity but it was closed while we were there. I'll have plenty of time to take Gustavo later, though. They did have some fun ponies that you could rent for the kiddos. I thought the ponies were just for the parents to pull the kids around the mall on but the kids were actually able to jump up and down in the saddle and make the ponies go on their own. You only get the pony for 15 minutes and I think we paid almost $15 for it but Gustavo had a good time and it made up for the not going to Divercity. Here's some pictures of the cute ponies.
Giddy up!
Gustavo also had his 1st Cafe Latte and loved it! He has good taste as it was the best coffee we've had since we've been here. David slept through everything :)
On Tuesday, we hit another mall, El Tesoro, in the evening. This mall has a kids' amusement park with rides in the middle of it. We wandered around the mall and then ate at Crepes and Waffles. Check out Gustavo's snowman "ice-cream" that came with his $5 kid's meal. We thought his ice-cream would be a scoop of ice-cream and couldn't believe what they brought him. It was more than enough for all of us to share. The rain started again before we got down eating so they had to close down the rides. Gustavo settled for some change and a gumball instead :)

Look at that boy go!!
Mmmm, loving my 1st taste of ice cream. Can I have some more??
Here's some pictures of the boys!
On Wednesday, we took the Metro to the end of the line and then went on a 10 person cable car up the mountain. The Cable car ride was fun and it was interesting to see another part of Medellin.
Loving his Cheerios! Sometimes they even make it in his mouth...
Happy Saturday Night!

Hi Jen & Boys - thanks for the great photos. Just want you to know I'm following your journey and thinking of you all. Sorry to hear you've hit a few speed bumps, but I'm praying any judge in the land will see what a great family you are. David is so freakin cute!!! I love the photo of him in the stroller with his foot up on the tray -- just chillin'. What a wonderful little smile he has. Just like the sun coming out.
ReplyDeleteHi everyone! Oh this brings back so many good memories living in Guatemala! David is so cute! Can't wait to meet him and play with him. Tell Gustavo we miss him and he is a GREAT big brother! I know it is hard being gone but the best part of your journey other than the cost. It was very expensive when we lived in Guat but worth every penny! The hardest was being gone on Christmaas but so special because we were all together fromm the 1st Christmas and Isaac is truly my best Christmas gift EVER! We will be following you and hope for the best!
ReplyDeleteWe are missing you guys so much. Tavo looked like he had a blast on the horses. We can hardly wait to see Tavo and David together. I love that big smile of David's. Tell him we are saving our Cheerios for him!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you guys are having a fun time. I sure hope all the hurdles work out soon! We are thinking about you guys!!
ReplyDeleteHang in there! sending hugs and what helped me was to just enjoy every moment, it will be the story you tell David, it is the truly most cherished to spend time alone as a family before everyone is all there to him! Todd had a hard time for hte money spent living there and stress with leaving everything but I just really can't tell you I love that time the best in Isaac's life!Take care and the main thing is your all safe and healthy!
