We checked into our hotel (The Fairmont) downtown afterwards. What a great hotel and such a difference from the Red Roof Inn!! After the boys took naps, we headed out to dinner at The Wishbone (great Cajun food) and then headed up to the lounge on top of the Hancock building. Saturday morning, we went to the Museum of Science and Industry. We went to the skit Poop Happens which was hilarious. Both Gustavo and Sohrab were able to be a part of the skit on stage! There was so much to see and do at the museum. We met our good friends, Cathy and Shawn, for dinner at Grand Lux Cafe. Sunday, we went to the Lincoln Park Zoo and after a yummy lunch at Portillos, we headed home. We had a great trip!
On a side note, I found a great home for Abbey to stay at while we were in Chicago. Abbey loved Diane's house and her 2 dogs! We are so happy to have found a nice home for Abbey to go for 3 weeks while we are Colombia. One less thing to worry about :)
Not looking forward to packing this week. Still have to buy a few more things for David and am still hunting for the perfect backpack for Gustavo. I think we've decided on Transformers but of course our Target is out of them. The hunt continues...
